Happy Valentine's Day!

What a wonderful day it was!

Breakfast: larabar, coffee In a rush because we were running off to church

Brunch: We went to the Sanibel Cafe for a Valentines Day brunch. It was not as good as we would have liked. If you "Paleoize" (haha I just invented a word) their food, it comes out bland. I had a shrimp omelet (just shrimp and eggs, I told them to hold the cheese) with a side of fruit. I wanted the cinnamon apples, but when I asked the waitress if there is sugar on the apples she looked at me like I had three heads and the expression on her face was something like this: "Duh lady! Who wants to eat apples without the sugar." Well for her information I did, and next time she gives me the "tude" (as I call it in my kindergarten classroom) I am going to smack it off of her face. Ok...sorry I'm back. My feisty side came out for a second.

We then walked around the farmers market on Sanibel and bought some organic Salsa (Runaway Bride...the guy who sells it has an interesting story behind the name). We also bought some lettuce and red peppers. It was so nice walking around there.

Rob then took me down to the Lighthouse Beach (see picture above) and we shared a glass of wine. How romantic! I know, I know we were breaking the rules about drinking on the beach, and if you know me well enough, then you know I hate breaking the rules! But I'm glad we did.

We then attempted to go on a sunset cruise but the cruise was canceled due to lack of people attending. This kind of spoiled the mood! So we went back to the house for dinner.

Dinner: Coconut shrimp. Yummy! We prepared this just like Diane prepares the chicken except we used almond flour instead of coconut flour because we didn't have any. It was very filling and very satisfying! Just like the real thing except cleaner! We also had some champagne.

What a wonderful day! What a wonderful husband I have! What a wonderful life!

    This made me LOL:

"Well for her information I did, and next time she gives me the "tude" (as I call it in my kindergarten classroom) I am going to smack it off of her face."

    Ha!

You're most welcome for the support -- but of course! I hope you, Diane, and I win the paleo challenge, a la 3 way tie. The Olympics does that to me. :)
